As a Software Developer I, you will work on a variety of projects, including developing new features, optimizing existing code, and troubleshooting software issues, as well as partner with senior developers to develop new applications using various technologies, including, but not limited to, Python, Linux, and MySQL, on a mix of commercial and homegrown applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level developer to learn and grow in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure we deliver high-quality solutions.

You will: 

  • Interpret user requirements and regulations to create software specifications 

  • Understand and analyze business processes 

  • Develop, modify, integrate, create test scripts, and test internal software systems using high-quality software engineering practices 

  • Ensure the security of information systems through strict adherence to language-appropriate secure code development practices 

  • Perform other duties as assigned

You have: 

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Software Developer

  • Familiarity with the Unix operating system or derivatives (e.g. Linux)

  • Knowledge of basic SQL

  • Knowledge of procedural programming

  • Comfortable in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Ability to use/expand on existing REST APIs (JSON and XML)

  • Basic command line capabilities: cd, cp, mv, ssh, scp, etc.

  • Ability to complete online OWASP Top 10/Security training

  • Familiar with version control (git preferred)

  • Able to work and collaborate with a remote team

The salary range for this position is $80k - $90k annually. This information is current as of the initial date of this job posting and may be modified in the future. The actual pay determined for an individual will vary based on job-related factors such as relevant experience and/or education, particular skills, and location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive plan.
