This role owns the full sales cycle—from discovery through close—while building executive relationships and positioning Miva as a strategic growth platform. In this role, you will operate within a structured, stage-gated sales process with defined exit criteria, rigorous forecast discipline, and clear expectations around deal progression. Things You Will Do:

  • Own the full sales cycle — Qualify, run discovery, align stakeholders, and close opportunities within a defined, stage-based sales process.
  • Self-source and generate pipeline as needed — Generate new opportunities through strategic outbound prospecting and network activation while re-engaging stalled deals to create momentum.
  • Leverage AI for Strategic Advantage: Utilize AI such as Claude Cowork to automate high-effort tasks like: competitor research, lead qualification, and CRM updates—allowing you to focus on high-value relationship building and deal strategy.
  • AI-Powered Customer Engagement: Deploy AI workflows to proactively identify churn risks, synthesize customer feedback, and deliver highly personalized outreach that ensures long-term customer success and loyalty.
  • Position Miva as a strategic partner — Act as a strategic advisor to eCommerce leaders and technical stakeholders.
  • Sell via value — Deliver tailored demos that translate product features into measurable revenue impact and ROI.
  • Architect ROI frameworks — Develop comprehensive financial business cases to assist internal champions in securing budgetary approval. 
  • Catalyze deal momentum — Create urgency by quantifying the "cost of inaction" and aligning with time-bound business goals.
  • Maintain CRM integrity — Maintain high-integrity Salesforce records with accurate forecasting based on verified buyer progression and defined qualification criteria.
  • Command deal progression — Maintain process control through disciplined, mutual plans and clear next steps after every engagement. 
  • Empower internal champions — Arm key advocates with the messaging and ROI summaries needed to navigate internal politics and accelerate decision-making. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally — Partner with Professional Services and agencies to ensure seamless post-sale handoffs.

You Have:

  • 5+ years in Enterprise SaaS: Proven success in eCommerce or related ecosystems (selling Shopify Plus or working in a Shopify-focused digital agency experience preferred).
  • Elite Sales Performance: A consistent track record of exceeding quotas within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strategic Pipeline Generator: Demonstrated ability to source and close new business via outbound, networking, and industry engagement.
  • Solid at Consultative Selling: Expert at uncovering, quantifying, and solving for high-stakes business pain.
  • Be a Communication Bridge: Confidently bridge the gap between technical stakeholders and C-suite executives.
  • High-Stakes Navigator: Skilled in managing long, complex deal cycles with multiple decision-makers and internal influencers.
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communicator capable of influencing senior leadership and driving internal alignment.
  • Self-Directed & Accountable: Operates with extreme ownership, urgency, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Education & Mobility: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and willingness to travel up to 30%.

The base salary range for this position is $125k - $150k annually + commission. Compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive plan.
